Description:

This course is an introduction to the principles and practices of application security. It covers the common vulnerabilities that plague developed code, as well as the security best practices that can be used to prevent and mitigate these vulnerabilities. The course also discusses the role of application security in the software development life cycle (SDLC).

By the end of this tuition, someone will be able to:

Understand the common vulnerabilities that plague developed code

Apply security best practices to prevent and mitigate these vulnerabilities

Describe the role of application security in the SDLC

Use security testing tools to identify and fix vulnerabilities.
